Our compassionate caregivers provide supportive in-home care for seniors receiving hospice services in Tucson and surrounding communities. We understand that end-of-life care is an emotional and challenging time for individuals and their families, and our goal is to provide comfort, dignity, companionship, and dependable assistance throughout this important stage of life.
At Home Seniors works alongside the client's hospice team to help provide continuity of care, comfort, safety, and emotional support. While hospice professionals manage the medical aspects of hospice care, our caregivers can provide non-medical assistance, comfort, and personal support in the home according to the client's individualized care plan and the instructions
of the hospice team.
Our caregivers may assist with personal hygiene care, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, repositioning, meal preparation, feeding assistance, light housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, and other activities of daily living as is appropriate. We can also provide a comforting presence for clients who may need additional supervision, companionship, or assistance during the day or overnight.
We recognize that hospice care affects the entire family. Family members may need time to work, sleep, attend appointments, care for other family members, or simply rest and process the emotional challenges of this time. Our caregivers can provide valuable respite support for family caregivers, allowing loved ones to step away while knowing their family member is receiving compassionate and personal attention.
At Home Seniors understands the importance of maintaining a familiar environment during end-of-life care. Remaining at home can allow your loved one to stay surrounded by familiar belongings, memories, and the people they love, providing a great deal of comfort at this time. Our caregivers strive to create a calm, respectful environment while following the client's routines, preferences, and care plan.
We work cooperatively with Tucson hospice providers and the client's healthcare team to support continuity of care. Our caregivers communicate important observations and changes in the client's condition to the appropriate family members and hospice professionals so that concerns can be addressed by the medical team.
Every individual and family is different. Some clients may need only a few hours of companionship and assistance, while others may require extended or 24-hour caregiver support. At Home Seniors can help families determine an appropriate non-medical caregiving schedule based on their loved one's needs and the hospice plan of care.
We approach every situation with the compassion, patience, dignity, and respect that every person deserves. During this difficult time, our goal is to help your loved one feel as comfortable, safe, and supported as possible while giving family members greater peace of mind.
