A Lifelong Commitment to Caring for Others
It has been my life’s calling to alleviate as much human suffering as I can. That purpose has guided me, shaped the way I care for others, and is at the heart of everything we do at At Home Seniors.
My career began in 1994 in the physical therapy department of a rehabilitation hospital. Working directly with patients taught me lessons that have stayed with me throughout my career: every person deserves to be seen, heard, respected, and cared for as an individual, not simply as a diagnosis, a schedule, or a number.
As healthcare became increasingly influenced by standardized treatment plans and corporate requirements, I knew I needed the freedom to provide a more personal approach to care. I continued my career in private practice, established a therapeutic massage studio, and spent many years working one-on-one with people, learning firsthand how profoundly individualized care can affect a person’s quality of life.
Those experiences eventually led me to something even greater: helping older adults and families who need dependable support in their own homes. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working closely with people through some of the most personal and vulnerable moments of their lives. Those experiences have reinforced a simple practice that continues to guide me today:
Treat every person the way you would want yourself, or someone you love, to be treated.
